Which bikini to choose ?
Please stay on topic or open another thread in the Everything Else section. For nature you can watch National Geographic channel. For pictures of women you can.., oh well you understand what I mean 😉
I don't want to behave like an underground moderator bur far too many threads end up off-topic cluttered with pics that have nothing to do with audio. Please realise that attaching these pics will leave less space for audiorelated stuff. I guess with new members every day *and* the amount of pics some of us like to show hardware upgrades will be inevitable in the end and the discussion about commercial subscription will come up again.
edit: I do like the mountain pics 😀

Not to my taste, I like clocks to be a bit more firm and round
Let's go on talking about clocks or open a new thread about skinny models.
Consider this to be an inofficial warning

Skinny Clocks or "skinny Models"

But I don't obey to wouldbe moderators....

OK, ok I will behave but I have not much more to say about clocks.....jean-paul said:Not my taste, let's go on talking about clocks or open a new thread about skinny models.

I never would want a clock from a wouldbe ... Never mind 🙂
Just joking, Elso ! BTW you did sense the right timing adding the last comment in your post when I wanted to delete my added warning in the last possible minute. Too late because your post popped up ...
That leaves Guido Tent's clock and Lars Clausen's clocks to us. Too bad because some "competition" in one way or another really is better for all. Strange world with Lars publishing his commercial designs to the community and you not wanting to publish them anymore even when they're DIY. Or will you be taking the commercial path, Elso ?

Hi,
Just want to ask, will this a copy version of LCXO? if it is, i understand why Mr. Clausen doesn't want to post the circuit of his design. http://www.audiotuning.de/english/index.html
i didn't finish all the threads, i stopped at page 13, too long -_-
Cheers

Which DAC clock to choose
Elso Kwakk and Guido 🙂
Yes, they have done an enormous work on Clocks for DAC. ( Digital to Analog Converter)
To fight any jitter that may upset the timing os digital signals.
They have DIY Articles how you build and replace clock circuit in your CD-player.
I have always doubt eventual such jitter effects are possible to hear.
So, I have decided to leave my CD-players alone 😀
I trust those, Pioneer, Technichs, Sony did a good job .. from the beginning.
So, Don't worry, Be Happy!
... all fellows out there.
Your clocks will keep the time well
.. and you will not be late for MUSIC 🙂
Lineup - regars

Been thinking about a clock upgrade for my cd playe
Pioneer PD-S703.
There's quite a few companies etc supplying clocks, and the LC Audio version 3 does look good.
I'm looking for a pre built one, so I can fit it quickly.
I may decide to build my own power supply.
Has anyone experience with the LC Audio clock x03, or the superclock II?
Also I know there are a couple of guys here with clocks circuits etc
(elso and guido).
Do either of you guys have a pre built version of your clock,
and if so how does it compare to the commercially available clocks?
Thanks Raja

My sentiments exactly Lars. I went with the Kwak Clock 7 in the end. To my ears the difference was remarkable. YMMV may vary.

Hi guys.
First of all I must apologise, I havent read the entire thread. After the first page I was out of my depth with all the talk about crystals etc.
As I far as I know the clock is very important to good CD sound, and its supply equally important.
I own a Cambridge Audio 640C V2 with a few mods (details below). Rather than upgrade the clock I installed a low noise reg and upgraded smoothing caps on its suplpy. I plan to add a trafo and give the clock its own PSU later.
Can anyone advise which are the best clock upgrades? There are so many options, PFM Flea, XO clock, Sercal, Audiocom, Tent........
Which one? Its so confusing and troubling as I want to ensure I get the max performance out of my 640.
Any advice please?
Rgds,
Mike.
