Hi,
I need help choosing a class d design for my new active crossover. I am building a two-way with the new 2x4 minidsp hd. I am a noob into active crossovers, and i realy need your help. I dont want to blow my pretty expensive speakerparts.
Woofer Scanspeak 18wu-8741t00

Tweeter SB Satori TW29R: http://www.falconacoustics.co.uk/downloads/SBA/SATORI_TW29R.pdf.
The two easy options:
- I have two ljm L20d and a 800smps supply, and its easy to buy and install two more L20d.
- I can easily get 4x icepower 50asp.
What would you recommend?
/ Sincerely Bukkehave

Anyone?
Can you tell me if that i just have to balance the watt effect of the amp to the individual parts. E.g. a 80-150 watt in 8 ohm for the ss woofer.

I think the ICEpower units are rated as the highest quality class-d amps out there. Can't really say anything about the L20d. Out of curiosity, do you have a good place to buy the ICEpower amps from?
I'm personally working on a similar project, but with Sanwu TDA7498 amplifiers.
You don't need 80W-150W for the woofers, not even close. If you look at the driver efficiency, it's typically 80-95db/W. Thats' how many dB you get for a single Watt of power.
