I tried carrying gasoline in a Styrofoam cup once, and when I poured just a bit of the fuel into the cup, the cup essentially disappeared (melted away) in my hand. Oops! I was outdoors and had only about an ounce of the fuel in the cup, so nothing bad happened.Just be careful with heat and solvents around it. Polystyrene (used in styrofoam) melts at pretty low temperatures. Acetone and gasoline will eat it alive. Ask anyone who's ever poured solvent into an empty yoghurt container.
