FW model of Aleph J with Power JFETs is called J2. I am sure F6 is different....though I don't mind building a J2, if revealed...

I've been interested in taking a shot at the J2.

I have to say the optocoupler throws me. Does CTR matter? Do you need to tie the base of the output to anything or does it float?

I've had a few friends try a "J2" and blow out their SemiSouths. Any rudimentary explaination of the optocoupler would be welcome.

No, the F2J sounds really good. You can always peel them out later.
Decent solder wick is the best tool I use in this hobby!
