Sorry to hear of how the VTV and Kittleson era ended. If some in the hobby had only known of his plight, maybe something could have been done to help. An interesting tube revival era started there.
Did any of the VTV issues deal with TV horizontal sweep tubes? I remember an issue about vertical sweep tubes.

Most of his estate was/is on Ebay under the " tube valley" seller name.Lots of really nice stuff

I bought a single Heathkit W2 and a W4M from them - very minty vintage amplifiers.
I seem to recall that it was issue 12.. Those amps now live in Maine where they get a lot of use I'm happy to say. 😀
I remember it clearly! What a great article! I have all original Sound Practice and VTV mags from that era - it was the best of times! Oh, and Handwound transformers - wow, what a nasty rep that guy has now! I bought two "Dynaco ST-70" power transformers from him. Got them both, eventually, neither FIT the St-70 chassis opening. He said, well, lots of different transformers used in ST-70's you must have had some odd ones. Right.
I don't know what eventually happened with his estate and who now owns the rights to VTV.
I'd be interested in contacting the VTV rights owner as I was hoping to link to an article on the Radio Craftsmen 500 history in issue 19, to expand a compendium of info relating to the Williamson amp.
That VVT link for the 20 issues seems to have disappeared, does anyone know where it is now?
Thanks very much in advance!
It is here: Index of /Magazines
I think that they were put up with permission from the estate.I think I saw the info on the original link for the files.
No prob, guys. I figured I'd spread the wealth once more since the earlier links are dead. Get 'em while you can! They are indeed a treasure.
I've spent the past week reading through these and I'm not finished yet. Wow, what a wealth of information in just 20 issues. It's unfortunate this magazine came to an end, and it's very sad to read of the passing of Mr. Kittleson.
still have one of his cool t-shirts with the cutaway RCA st tube on the back... found him to be a modest man with true enthusiasm and dedication to the craft. peace man.
The 20 issues of Vacuum Tube Valley can (also) be found here: VACUUM TUBE VALLEY: 90's and 00's tube technology

Seems the hotlinks for #6 through #10 are missing, but you can just open up one of the other issues and manually edit the issue number in the url to get to them, e.g.

Glad to see they've made it over to World Radio History, because many of the sites where the issues were previous posted were somewhat tenuous at best. The Wayback Machine links are apparently still good, but the magazine truly deserves a more prominent site. Thanks for the tip - and the workaround! Hopefully they'll get the hotlinks fixed soon.
Alas, I learned of VTV too late to acquire one of those T-shirts... 🙁

Earlier this year I got into a vicious bidding war on an auction selling all the VTV issues on paper, originals. Along with all the Glass Audio issues as well. I didn't win the auction but I did run up the price pretty high on the other guy. Nice to know I can get VTV on PDF.
