Don't vacuum tubes work by accelerating particles? Or are electrons not particles? I'd argue he is building a particle accelerator. Certainly an electron accelerator. 🙂

I personally just feel that a rectangle black heat sink doesn't belong to a tube amp.
Whoever said that never got a batch of the perfect heat sinks for B+ and screen regulators for $1.95 each. They are going to show up everywhere till the box of them is gone.
The proper place to get heat sinks is the surplus market. You take what you find - if it’s black it’s black. 😀
The mosfets are mounted to the back. Full pack TO-220’s with the leads heat shrinked.
