Well, I bought 5 yards of blackout cloth at Joann's. That by itself was $15. A 32 oz. bottle of Gesso at an art store was $20. Wood at the hardware store (to build a frame) was like $6. So yeah, $50. I'm not including the price of the roller, the roller trey, the wood glue, the staple-gun, the staples, etc.
Anyways, my screen has not turned out well. I'm having serious streaking problems w/ my roller. First coat looked decent, second coat looked a lot better (but not perfect), thrid coat looks worse than the first did. It's usable, but I'm going to rent a spray-paint system. Hopefully that will do it.

Over at AVSforum, I have heard good things about a fabric called "Thermo Suedo" I think I might try it out, of course I read about it shortly after I bought some blackout cloth😱
I think you meant thermo suede 🙂
