where shd I mount the port?

Hi there guys,

Just wanted to know if I can mount a port directly behind the driver or should it be placed on the same side where the driver is mounted.The problem I have is I don't have enough space on top of the box the sides and the front to mount a 4" dia port,I am using it in a car so The only option is to have it behind the driver.

Is it possible to mount it at the rear?

Any suggestions please

Sure, mounting in the rear is fine. But, I've heard that there are anomolies created when placing rear-vent speakers near the rear of the walls.
