Where has my "edit" button gone? LOL

Just noticed a typo in one of my replies on a thread & was just about to edit the post when i realised i couldn't find an edit button 😱 Checked other threads i have replied on & i can't find an edit button on any of my replies there either 🙄

I'm going to log off & clear cookies etc & see if the problem persists when i log back in. Never seen this before on Vbulletin, just letting those up top know... I might be back with good news 😉 Or not...

Ok, total weirdness... I can edit my first post in this thread but still there is no edit button in older stuff

What's going on? It's rather annoying...

Your ability to edit a post only exists for 30 minutes (i think that is what it is) after you post. Beyond that you'll need to ask a mod to edit it for you. Give clear directions and we'll be happy to help out.

Hi Dave, thanks for the offer but it's not that important - only a typo 😉

Since when has this been the case out of interest? I have never seen it before so i'm guessing that this is something implemented on Vbulletin by the Admin? I know there are lots of little tweaks that can be used..

Sorry Dave, i was just shocked that i couldn't see it on old threads, or should i say older & yet you have explained it perfectly.

As long as i have been here the edit capability has been time limited, althou the time has been upped from 20 to 30 minutes (that last i'd have to verify with Jason, it certainly was discussed)
