where do you find your tube treasures

I am a newb here so here goes where is it that all of you audiophils find your tube treasures to restore? I had a tube amp head about 12 years ago and fell in love with the sound that only tubes can give. I also love the purple glow of the amp head's power tubes... :rolleyes:

Everywhere.

Friends cleaning out the barn.

Thrift stores.

Garage sales.

Dumpsters.

Big Garbage day (A national holiday for tube scroungers!)

Put the word out - networking works surprisingly well. Sometimes I think that this stuff develops a gravity field of its own, it just appears.
