Where can I find ssm2210 transistors...

MAT02 is actually the same thing in a different case and with lower offset and higher price. While linearity of the SSM parts is excellent, I would not use them in anything but a low noise MC amp. The reason is the really high parasitic capacitances. There are other dual transistors specifically designed for audio such as 2SA1240 or 1349. Unfortunately, they are discontinued just as the 2210.

I have a project that requires these audio transistors (ssm2210). But I have not been able to find these anywhere. Maybe I have not been looking in the right places. Any help would be appreciated...
Thanks again

SSM2210 = MAT02, difference is package, only
SSM2220 = MAT03

I have plenty SSM2210 and SSM2220 for sale.

SSM2220/10 is no longer in production unless you want >100 000 pieces, according to Analog Devices.

You could also use BC847BS, only 20 cents and rather good. It's like two BC547/847 in the same package. I have tested it and it works very fine in a differential input stage.

LM194 & LM394

Another ultramatched pair of ultralow noise BJTs, no Idea of where the [...] it can be found. Farnell and Rs I suppose.

It's still in production, also in DIP package (cheaper than metal cans TO-71 and TO-78)

BC547BS has really much more noise than ssm2220, MAT02 and LM194/394. non suitable for an MC preamp, but ok for a power amp.

But only if you manage to solder it, I've 5 of them and I still spend 5 minutes everyday looking at them, thinking how will I solder it...

They make also matched pairs.

What is important?
Low noise
High gain
Matched electrically
Temperature tracking

All mentioned types don't have everything

BS847BS is everything except for extremely low noise and extremely matched. As an input transistor it's suitable for almost everything expect for MC preamps. This type is very price worthy. If you can solder it, test it! But beware, nothing for a newbeginner in soldering. Check my picture and compare the size.
The transistor has the same body as SOT23 but with 6 pins.
