Where are some good places to get speaker kits?

tdogr, if you can't build the boxes it will really limit what you can do, particularly if you need them with driver mounting holes pre-cut and $300 with cabinets is a fairly tall order as well. That said, here's a few I found that fit the bill:

Out of those two I would go with the sledgling, but have not heard either.

I would also get in touch with Bob at www.creativesoundsolutions, they have a number of nice small kits like the Kit41, Kit 61, and just a FR125 running solo in a small box which should be well within your price range. I know they can often offer cabinets on request, sometimes with driver cutouts, if you send them an email you may be able to work something out.

Those are the type I am wanting to buy. The ones from partsexpress look like what I will eventually go with. If anyone has anything else to suggest I will appreciate it.
