At my workbench I do all the preliminary tests that should be done, along with initial variac, dummy load, and dim-bulb protections.
The bench speakers are through a switchable system to insure they don't get damaged.
It's simple when testing solid state amps....
Switch in a series bipolar cap of 150 to 500 Uf rated 100V, and if the idle offset is proper, and no distortion is heard, short it out with the switch for direct feed to the speaker(s).

I'm glad somebody got it! Perhaps I should rethink my comedic aspirations.
