Got a bad LA3170 in an otherwise nice Yamaha tuner.
Thinking (hoping) I can replace it and it's partner straight-up with a burr-brown type op-amp on a brown-dog adapter but can't find a real datasheet for the LA3170 in order to confirm.
Can anybody confirm anything about an LA3170 for me? Is it a simple/straight SIL op-amp with 'normal' pinout so I can drop in another general purpose audio op-amp?

The original is made by Sanyo, and of course discontinued. The pinout doesn't seem to match JRC's sip modules so you will be stuck making an adapter board. What part of the circuit are they in?

JAYCEE -Thanks for the quick reply and those tips. They're the first stage of audio post MPX, just before a couple of stages of discrete amplification around the low-pass filters. I'll post a pic below of the schem and the unit, just because any thread without graphic illustration is a drag...
Dang, seems pretty clear I can't drop in something. I confirmed from my schem that the pinouts seem to be:
1 - V+
2 - N/C
3 - Inverting Input
4 - Non-inverting Input
5 - V-
6 - compensation?
7 - Output
8 - compensation?
Which is totally different than the JRC's... The Brown Dog adapters are geared towards the JRC modules so if I used those I'd have to cut traces and re-work - not difficult but not as easy as plug & play.
Seems like my choice is either that or go with NOS LA3170's, which I can dig up and obviously would work to get back operating but wouldn't be the upgrade that a modern op-amp conversion would be...
