I love some of what y'all have posted.
Bur for me my all time favorite:
The Allman Brother's Band - Live at Fillmore East.
On vinyl heard through a Sansui AU-111 w/Sansui speakers.
There was just something magical about it that I've never
quite captured again. I should find a AU-111 and not look back.
I've missed a couple of opportunities, oh well.
Oh, "Live Collection"...most interesting, Fillmore, The Last Days,
complete with posters. : )

Bad Brains - The Youth Are Getting Restless
These guys showed me that intense music doesn't need to be grindcore.
Jaco Pastorius - The Birthday Concert
Best recording of the best bass player ever by a mile.
Fire.

My fave live album is Diana Krall live in Paris
She employs Al Schmitt as engineer and IMO he is a genius at recording her well

Two of these have already been mentioned, but it'd be a shame to not highlight them:

Be Bop Deluxe -- Live! In the Air Age
Lou Reed -- Rock & Roll Animal
Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra (Nicholas McGegan, cond) -- Water Music

As a long-time Rush fan, I must say, a record upon which you cannot hear the vocals very well is a big plus.
Hehehe I see what your sayin 😀Glen v A said:As a long-time Rush fan, I must say, a record upon which you cannot hear the vocals very well is a big plus.
As a guitarist, I may be a bit biased, but the first three Eric Clapton "Crossroads" concerts on DVD rock my world. I don't love every song, but there are quite a few different songs and artists to pick from. Many are quite awesum. Audio quality is real good too. The second one and the third one are probably the best.
