Does something from this century count? 😀
Loreena McKennitt - Nights From the Alhambra (saw pretty much the exact same band play live in Victoria - was it already 7yrs ago? - rousing and emotionally expansive, to say the least)
David Gilmour - Meltdown Concert (Royal Festival Hall 2002) sometimes it's the space and time between the notes that tell as much as how many you can stuff into any given measure of time.

Danke you both for your entries!!
Ligabue - Sette notti in arena
A seasoned musician in a great location, with incredible audience participation. They sing along almost every song.

I used to have the vinyl but I now have the CD which is actually very good also..

Hard to narrow down a favorite
But two that are probably returned to more often are:

Little Feat - "Waiting For Columbus"

I saw this tour at Massey Hall in Toronto and I can't imagine a better live experience.
Little did I know it was the last chance I'd get to see Mr. Wright play. RIP

I could never choose a lone favorite. Several already mentioned could make my short list. A couple more also deserving mention IMO are:
UFO - Strangers in the Night
Frank Zappa - numerous candidates

Hot August Night - Neil Diamond
... yes, the original version - would be one of the all time favourites - when I first got my setup into the "good zone" this was an absolutely amazing experience, from the first draws of the bows across the strings this has atmosphere that seems to stretch to forever - very, magic, stuff ....
