Hi
I have an old kit(door buzzer) and I want to repair it
it has 2 transistor with the name "A1283" and I want to know the whole name of it like, 2SA1283 or.......
Can anyone help me with that???????

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
Can anyone help me with that???????
I'm not positive - but take a look at this.

The data sheets linked here say it's a "TO-92 mod" package with 900mW dissipation, but the device in the picture is clearly a plain-jane TO-92. (?) I would replace it with an MPSW56, or perhaps a 2SA965 (if you can find that one...). Both of those devices are in the long TO-92 package.
One thing to be careful of. There are "American" type nimbers like 2N3904, and "jalanese" type numbers like (2S)C945. And you can find equivalents in both number systems. ANd electrically you can replace one with the other. HOWEVER, the USA types all have the leags arranged as E-B-C, whereas teh Asian types have the leg arrangement E-C-B. SO if you swap one for the other, you will need to turn the transistor sideways so the legs can go in the appropriate holes in the circuit board.
SO if that MPSW would work, just make sure to wire it correctly.
B&D Enterprises at least lists the 2SA1283 as out of stock, but they also say this:
Replace with 2SB647A. But of course they don;t have those either.

Maybe we can find 2SA1283. The only problem is the quantity. Had to find a supplier wich to sell 1 or even 10. 100 pcs for TO-92 transistor is the MOQ in most cases.
SInce it is a door buzzer, I have to think the part is not critical at all, and that the circuit is probably not very sensitive to type here. Of course I have been wrong before. I'd suspect most any PNP transistor meeting the minimal specs ought to work.
The approach mentioned is probably the most expedient one. Since the device in the picture is clearly in a standard TO-92 package, any TO-92 PNP with proper voltage/current rating would work in its place. I have no idea what is commonly available in Malaysia, but I'd go with an MPSA56 (with a twist to get the right leads in the right holes as suggested).
