no problem godzilla...............

Detail will be the issue.

Smaller, lighter, stiffer cones keep the detail high but at the expense of no bass.

I was even looking at the 5.25" carbon-fiber audax drivers (used in the von schweikert VR6. High detail and clarity comparable to electrostats...... that says a lot to me.

I liked my b20 actively crossed at 5khz @24db LR to a 1038a piezo (with 60ohm in series with piezo). Screw power response.

I'd imagine the 2 x audax should kick its butt. But $90 U.S. each.

Still cheaper than a cheap lowther !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ciare again

Here I go again, but I just spotted 2 interesting drivers more, in Ciare home-catalogue HX160 and HX201
Sp=95/96 db
Qts=0,42/0,47
Vas=16/44 l
Fs=70/53 Hz
Xmax=1,7mm

They dont have whizzer cone, yet to15KHz they go,with less beaming,so Ciare claims. HX201 for half chang maybe?
