what value would this be?

according to my attached picture, what would be the resistance across the positive and negative leads? (assuming im trying to make a dummy load for bench testing my amp). the resistors are 50W, 36ohm dale resistors. im really bad with kirchkoff's law, its been like 6 years.

In the text you mention 36 ohm, and in the diagram you say 32. Assuming 32 is the correct number, the total is 21.3 ohms as Bruce said. If 36 is the correct number, the total is 24 ohms.

If 32 is the correct value, 4 in parallel will give you 8 ohms, 8 will give you 4 ohms.

how many do you have?

Nine(!) in parallel would be 4 ohms.
Do that twice, and put the 2 groups in series for 8 ohms.
This is assuming you've got an unending supply of the things!
Still, at least power dissipation per resistor won't be a problem...

Cheers, BC :drink:
