I've been impressed by my 6" powered bazooka subwoofer. I'd like to build something that has a similar size and punch.
What type of enclosures do Bazooka use? Is it a simple ported design? Bandpass?

They are a vented design, the "tube" in this case has no sonic advantages other than it being a naturally strong shape to make an enclosure out of.

If its a big long relatively narrow tube with a woofer at one end and a hole at the other its a quarter wave pipe / transmission line. If its more like a water heater with a port, then its probably a ported box. If there is internal ports it could also be 4rth or 6th order bandpass. Im not really familiar with this bazooka.

Actually a tube shaped enclosure has the strongest resonance of all enclosures, although the tube is not long enough for standing waves in the bass region, the peak in frequency might still be audible but some stuffing should cure that.
