What type of capacitor is this?

Can someone identify the specific type of cap this is?
It’s in a Rotel RB-850 audio amp. The values and tolerance are obvious but my experience is limited.
Thanks

Thanks,
After checking with Mous*r and Digik*y it appears the polystyrene in values that were used on my amp are not available.
I’ve read that polystyrene was at one time the ps caps were valued for audio use.
Is there a suitable substitute?

Farnell had a lot of them a few years ago, I don't know if that's still the case.

Polypropylene is usually a good replacement. If you can't get those either, maybe NP0 / C0G ceramic.

Are you sure it's broken? Anything can break down, but they are usually fairly reliable as long as you don't overheat them with a soldering iron.

Polystyrene caps tend to craze like that when they get old - as long as the plastic between the foils is not affected, it'll work just fine, It's probably a compensation cap, as the tolerance is only 5%.

Note - there were lots of hits on NOS polystyrene caps of that value when I searched on E-pay.
