At work, I was able to salvage these huge caps before they were binned. They have "Tube Amp" written all over them, but I'm not sure where and how... Who has some suggestions for a design?
The Caps (See picture below)
- Siemens Oil Tank Capacitor (PCB Free)
- Bipolar
- 2x 330uF / 230 Veff
- 4x 100uF / 230 Veff
- Never used before
The image is a bit blurred.

If you have a valve-based power amp in mind, you might have the caps, but you still need an output transformer - a good one is always a significant part of the cost. The 230V rating is also a bit of a worry. Most power amps run at higher voltages than that.
Volts AC rated I presume?
Good for 330VDC then, at 100-220uF that's a few hundred mA. Stereo or quad EL34 PP class A maybe? Or some chunkier tubes like KT88/90, so they aren't dwarfed by the durn huge caps...

Whoops. Should have thought of that. By the way, Tim, do you sleep? - you're always on at odd hours... 😀
Hehe.
Actually I was staying up too late so I'm staying up extra late, wrapping it around... no, I don't have any work.

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Heh, me too 😀
Stupid body seems to work on a 6-week cycle

Greg and Tim have out-geeked me.... ahhhh
Bakmeel,
I think you really have to be a little more specific on what you want to build. Sure, you have some rather nice looking caps, but the rest of the components to make a good amp will probably cost quite a bit.
