17g is enough as a sample to find out if you like the flux.
Once you have decided on the flux you want, then buy 500g reels in two or three sizes to last you a few years. and make sure all of them have lead in them. It's better with lead and as a eutectic.

I am happy with this one: (link)
- 450 g
- 63% Tin, 37% Lead
- Rosin core
- 0.020" diameter (0.5mm)
- Kester 44
That's the stuff I use...I like it. I've done quite a bit of soldering and found that the lead free solder is a pain in the butt to use.

would this be better suited? its 63/37 0.8mm and is flux cored

ok.. now finally everything i need for the build has been ordered, including new amp, cables and a lot more.
only thing left to finance when its time is the finishing... i still have no idea how much the veneer will cost..
also audikit.it has sent to me 2 replacements for the broken coils, i suppose i will receive them this coming week.
