So I did not win the v-fet lotto and i'm trying to make lemonade out of my lemons.
I happened on a working / fully functional (measures good) Sony TAN-5550. I was going to just do some updates (caps, diodes etc), but i'm considering maybe building a new amp to try the vfets in... they are rank 58! Not giving up on the Sony, but I think a new design could do better.
I'm not a novice, but far from a expert. I probably need a design, with boards and some test points with voltages to check.
So what should I build?!

If you parallel two 2SK60's and two 2SJ18's than you can consider the result as a single 2SK82 and a single 2Sj28. And you can use all Papa's VFET designs.
There is still the Round 2 of the lottery to go. 🙂
Members have built this using 2sk60/2sj18, but at lower bias:

There will likely be versions of the SE vfet amp for 2sk60/2sj18 later as well.

You should wait for part 3 which has circuits and pc boards to accommodate these
particular parts. The 2SJ18 ad 2SK60 are the single-die versions of the duals in
2SK82 and 2SJ28, and unless you are driving 16 ohm will need a mu follower instead
of a constant current source.
No big deal, and patience will be rewarded.

I’m patiently waiting and actually enjoying the suspense 🙂 I predict a surplus of 2SK63 pulls looking for a project once part 3 is published.
