an issue. Still its miles more than class A, so your point is ?

anyhow, as far as Class A sound is concerned, I've only heard a big KRELL playing through JBL speakers and it sounded cleaner and more dynamic than most AB amps I've heard (only gripe was some 'glare' on violins). I would love to hear one of the big PASS amps but haven't seen any in my area. I've also heard low power single ended Class A tube amps and they sound superb, I like them a lot, but none of them were as pure as the KRELL in the mids, none of them had the low frequency dynamics of my Class AB amps, but all of them were a pleasure to listen to.

IMHO, The topology matters more than if its class A or AB.
I think the most you can say is for a given topology, the class A will have lower distortion / sound better than the AB design.
