Thanks!
You're welcome. I just noticed that typing fast I wrote "flexible" twice. It should be "flexible rd" or "rollable rd".
Hi!
Nowadays I listen this loudspeakers. It has fantastic, wide and precise soundstage. The sweetspot is also wery wide. It is something between omni speakers and narrow front baffles conventional speakers.
Happy New Year!

Wide baffles appear to have good imaging. It the room is big enough they are super good (but I haven't heard any myself)
You should study these clones of Sonus Faber Stradivari (3-way)

Thanks for the infos!
Yes!Listening range is very wide. Tonal balance is surprisingly neutral and bright enough even 90° off-axis.
If you are looking for diffusion, I ran sonotubes (4' long x 12" across) in my basement, $8.70 each at Home Depot. About a foot apart, huge difference.

Hi!
What makes a loudspeaker to spatial sounding?
I mean creating wide, deep, detailed sound stage.
What factors are decisive?
- driver's quality and ability?
- box?
- room placement?
- room accoustics?

Hi
i heard but i am not sure if it is true or not that if you listen any decent pair of speakers in an anechoic chamber you will get a very good soundstage
So i would say that in most cases good listening room acoustic is fundamental to get a great soundstage, more than the speakers used.
And what is funny is that room acoustic is very low in the interest of most audiophile people ... 😀

I think the most important for good spatial sound stage:
- the Recording it self!
- DAC and amp
- Room
- Loudspeakers

Hi and thanks and very beautiful indeed ! Congratulations !

are the drivers coaxials ?
I have at least 3 pairs of 8" Tannoy cheap coaxials (not the best ones unfortunately) that could work nicely in a similar cabinet i guess.
I love coaxials.
Are you saying that these speakers are the best at reproducing the soundstage ?
This is extremely interesting to me because i get crazy when i hear a good virtual soundstage ... is the real magic for me.
Thanks again.
Kind regards, gino

Yes, Tannoy 8" DC drivers.

No. I think the wide baffle is better in this way, but I have to make A-B test. Are you saying that these speakers are the best at reproducing the soundstage ?

Hi and thanks for the valuable reply.
I tend to prefer speakers that disappear also visually, with a narrow baffle.
They are also easier to place in the room.
But i trust you of course.
I could always switch off the lights 😉
Thanks again and kind regards, gino
I'm also interested in pix of the tube diffusers.
Hey, how come diyaudio doesn't have forums for absorbers and diffusers? I've been working on stepped diffusers today, but wouldn't know where to post anything about them.

You could ask about it a norvegian member of this forum (Haavard). He is my friend and listened many times my speakers. Maybe His oppinions can help you.

Hi tyimo.
The flat 2-way (not tannoy in post 43), what are the drivers and crossover?
Looks like a 1" dome.

Hi Norman!
The drivers are:
- SEAS CA21REX
- VIFA DX25TG 05-04
Crossover is 6dB, first order with Zobel on the bass side.

Hi Tyimo,
You've done quite a lot of interesting speakers!
In post #12, there're 2 or 3 BLHs with upfiring driver (with or without HF reflector). How do they perform? (I did some search but didn't find related threads.)
And, it seems you are too humble to ask helps. With the experiences in all those projects, you can teach us a lot.
Thanks for sharing 🙂
