I believe gpauk was referring to the Many-Worlds Interpretation which implies that the wave function is real and that during interactions it doesn't collapse, but evolves.
This leads to the bewildering concept of the multiverse.
However, I agree he could have explained this himself!

Anything to do with a Multiverse wreaks of String Theory to me! No getting away from it. 6 invisible Dimensions and all that. 😕
Consider the position of "The Creationists". Equally silly. They believe the World is 5,000 years old. No, I don't know why either. We know it is 13.7 Billion years old. With me so far?
Physicist Lee Smolin has a entertaining Story to tell:
He met these Creationist people while changing Flights from London to Toronto. They said Hello and asked Lee where he was coming from. He said he was returning from a conference on Cosmology. They then asked his view on Evolution. He proceeded to show them that Charles Darwin had proved it beyond a doubt.
They didn't like it. Then they ventured into the idea that the World is 5,000 years old. So Lee asked them to explain Dinosaur bones which go back about 500 Million years. They had an explanation for that too. Dinosaurs are still around!
They live in the uncharted Jungles of Africa and hide in Caves!
As it goes, I used to live in Africa. I was far more worried about Snakes and Crocodiles than Dinosaurs. Be a Realist. 😀

The Many-Worlds Interpretation implies that all possible outcomes of a quantum measurement are realised in an infinite number of universes.
Simply put, the interpretation implies that Schrödinger's cat is 'alive' and 'dead' in different branches of the multiverse.
A multiverse of a somewhat different kind is envisaged within string theory and its higher-dimensional extension, M-theory.

I'm with you given this correction - the World is 4.6 billion years old. 😉

That conjures up an image! 😊

Suppose one were inside the event horizon of a supermassive black hole (without being crushed to death). Is there some physical point in space where the Big Bang happened approximately 5000 years ago instead of the 4.6 billion as measured from here?
instead of the 4.6 billion
That would be 13.7 billion.
But I'm still unable to answer your hypothetical question - other than to say that the Big Bang happened everywhere at once.

The Scots were wise enough to classify them as protected local species at a time US scientists had detected 16 of them and had planned to capture some to take them away.

There's been a recent study which suggests the Loch Ness monster is actually the penis of a blue whale.

The average blue whale penis size is anywhere from eight to ten feet long, often with a diameter of about one foot!

there have been lots of dinosaur fossils and human fossils found in the same sedimentary layer. Darwin didn't prove anything. It's still the "theory" of evolution.Anything to do with a Multiverse wreaks of String Theory to me! No getting away from it. 6 invisible Dimensions and all that. 😕

do you think there are "Creationists" who are also cosmologists, physicists, and scientists?

Really? Do you have any examples?there have been lots of dinosaur fossils and human fossils found in the same sedimentary layer. Darwin didn't prove anything. It's still the "theory" of evolution.

No more difficult to find than the so called transitional fossils.Really? Do you have any examples?
I prefer the T-Rex mount - better top end and acceleration 🤣At least they were at the time of the Flintstones! 😀

Yes, the very place "dark matter" must have emerged from. It's amazing what you can find in caves! 😉
Held together by not strings, but gut and sinew no doubt.
Long before trillion years, the Universe has gone big crunch and "we" are off again to a new set of physical laws and star constellations.

Interesting point to discuss. There is this idea that when you look at the fossil record, you will, for example, see monkeys gradually change into humans, or some other progenitor species change into something more modern. This is exactly how evolution does not work. If you have a population of individuals that is stressed due to some external vector, a small percentage out of the total population will have the genetic wherewithal to deal with the stressor and their genes will be passed onto the next generation. So, the transitional fossils are almost always at a genetic bottleneck and in amongst a much larger population of organisms who are on the path to genetic oblivion. In the example of homo sapiens, some experts believe that at one stage 200k yrs ago, there were no more than 1000 breeding pairs at most, and this accounts for the very low genetic diversity we see across humankind today. In short, good luck with finding transitional fossils! This of course plays directly into the creationist viewpoint. No more difficult to find than the so called transitional fossils.
