"We also briefly discuss the natural origin of the matter-antimatter asymmetry within this picture and possibilities for explaining the cosmological perturbations."

I'll provide some background to the above statement from Pano's extract:

In the early stages of the formation of the universe, matter and antimatter almost cancelled each other out.

However, asymmetry in that cancellation meant a tiny residue of matter was left over, and it is that residue that makes up stars, planets and people!

We are fortunate that anything was left over at all! 😎

The question of why that happened is still open-ended, and the hypothesis in Pano's extract may close that question by providing experimentally testable predictions.

"With no additional fields beyond Einstein gravity and the standard model of particle physics (including right-handed neutrinos), a Z2 symmetry stabilizes one of the right-handed neutrinos. We calculate its abundance in detail and show that, in order to match the observed dark matter density, its mass must be 4.8×108 GeV."

Could right-handed neutrinos (aka sterile neutrons) solve the dark matter puzzle?

At 4.8 x 10^8 GeV, we are talking ultra-heavy, so right-handed neutrinos could actually be the dark matter!

These super-heavy dark matter candidates have been dubbed "WIMPzillas"! 💪

TNT may be correct as it seems we've now moved beyond the multiverse!

No rest for the wicked on this thread! 😈

Exactly my point -> Maybe correct. It would be much more respectable to speak in maybes on such a topic...There are much smarter people discussing this topic and they don't have the answers either😏

Not quite.

There are many mathematical models based around vacuum decay, the bubble universe being one of them.

I guess I am preaching to the choir on that one

This thread started by everyone saying that they where mostly guessing for every post but after a while it became default 🙂 but now and again one wonder ;-)

In all other sub-forum other standards reign of course as facts are facts and questions are questions 😉
