screw. However though it may be somewhat effective, it renders the drywall very fragile since it’s not held securely against the substrate. I definitely would not use it on a ceiling.

The neat thing about nuclear thermal propulsion is you can use just about anything for fuel (within reason).

This was proposed in a novel I read in the early '90s. Been awhile, so I'm fuzzy on the author's name. Crawford Kilian maybe?

I think it was Gryphon. I vaguely recall some of the characters used hehe tecquiques to alter their appearances and characteristics to suit their activities. But as I said, it was decades ago for me. Maybe I'll find another copy.
The main character's "steamship" certainly fits the nuclear thermal propulsion profile.I think it was Gryphon.

You don't need vacuum for zero gravity.
I even heard some reporter say: "they went up to 50 miles, high enough to experience zero gravity.". Lots of people have trouble to unravel vacuum, gravity, free fall and high altitude apparently.

That's correct, but I was up for a bit of fun! 😀You don't need vacuum for zero gravity.
We've all experienced free-fall for that brief instant when the lift (elevator) starts its downward descent and the floor seems to fall away from under our feet.
Just pray the lift cable doesn't break or your period of weightlessness will be unhappily extended!

I had read a little about this giant comet in 2031. As big as a asteroid. But it won't be very bright. We won't be able to see it.

Agree with that Steve. Gold is heavy, so should have all sunk towards the centre of the earth when it was still molten. Some later event(s) must have stirred things up.

That's correct Pete. Gold sank to the Earth's core during the planet's formation. It's only accessible today because of asteroid bombardment.
