what is best for an op amp?

I need ai idea for an power supply for an op amp.

Lm317/337 series
7812/7912 series
or elaborate circuit....no zener....

I put an battery an sound clear and sweet..have an similar result with p/supply?

The PS you'll need is very dependent what the opamps do.

decouple all opamps at the chip pins as directed by the manufacturer.

Lm317/337 series have much better ripple characteristics than
78XX series.
As andrew t. pointed out decoupling at regulator and device
is critical..
