100-120ma has always seemed like the sweet spot in push pull arrangements.
Also, the Fair-Rite #2643001601 has worked well to help with oscillation when using lower value gate resistors like 100 ohms. Use them on both the gates and drains.

The datasheet has a plot of Vgs vs. Ids for -25 deg, +25 and +75. The cross-hair point where they meet is about where you want to be, or about 120mA for the 8A N-channel.
