Hi All,
All my parts have finally come in from China and I'm about to start assembling my first amp, but had a couple questions about what type of wire to use.
I see a lot of recommendation of 20 gauge copper stranded wire. I will have internal power supplies and thus have a standard fused power inlet and AC current running from it to the converters. Will I need a heavier gauge wire for the ac current?
Should I also look for shielded wire since there will be ac current in the box?
Thanks in Advance,
Mitchell

Always use AC power wires that will carry the full current of the fuse, or more.

Thanks, that is what I thought, but wanted to verify. Would ordinary Romex be ok or should I look for something else?

Romex is fine, and also use related connectors with similar ratings.
That's heavy gauge and inflexible house wiring cable?
Flexible pvc in 1.5 or 2.5mm will be a lot easier to use inside an enclosure. Tri rated or 6491x or other conduit or equipment wires would be much more suitable.
The inner cores from a pvc mains flex would be another substitute.
