Now I think that I must make a three way cabinets, because I love the club sound.May be the Selenium drivers are perfects for this. I know only that I can buy this drivers in my country. This is not any problem for me.I will be very happy if someone can say anything about the Selenium Drivers.
I want use for my project this drivers:
High`s : Selenium ST350

OR

Selenium WPU1505-SLF

May be the second is more smooth than the 12" ,but what dimensions involves this big Vas-5.75 ft\3

Will be usefully any opinion for Selenium-the Brand and for my choice for drivers?

Thanks:smash:

I know but can you give ma any exaple for any approximates dimensions?I must haul this monsters and It`s too thoughtless to make my cabinets with 15" If I can`t .This is the problem and for this is the question.
And I wait for my second question:
Will be usefully any opinion for Selenium-the Brand and for my choice for drivers?
Thanks!

Go with the 15" The picture doesn't do justice to the motor structure. It's plenty heavy. And yes it's the same motor as the 12" It's a reinforcement driver so it doesn't need a huge box.

I use the Selenium WPU 1507 QCF in a set of Altec A7 cabinets and they sound just fine.

I use the D205Ti compression tweeter mounted to an Altec 511B horn and I like it too. This tweeter is now discontinued but was good value for the money. In fact Selenium tweeters seem to be popular but the woofers are still hiding in the wings waiting to be discovered. They seem really well built.

The tweeter will need to be tamed as it is very bright. On mine I have run an 8 ohm resistor in series and a 16 ohm in parallel to calm the beast.

Are you thinking of about 300 and 4000 for your XO points?

EDIT: Can you still get the 1505? I thought it too was discontinued and now they have the 1509

IMHO the Selenium bass drivers are an incredibly good value here in North America. Especially for a club type system I would have no hesitation in using them I have a par of the WPU 1505 model and they are amazing for the money.

Here, there is really no competition at the price except Eminence, but on sale the Seleniums can be really cheap. In other countries they might not be as good a deal due to shipping costs.

Closer to asia I would also look into P-Audio
