What Foam Should I Use ?

I just received a 1983 Ibanez Musician Bass and it has active pickups with 3 pots to control the EQ. Inside the potentiometer cavity is a PCB wrapped in a dark grey foam. The foam pulverized when I touched it and most of it fell off. I removed the remaining foam residue.

What foam or other material can I use to wrap the PCB?

Most of the time it's simple open cell grey packing foam- if it fits it works, pretty much.

just found some thin pink open cell packing foam 🙂
