A lot of really smart people post here and was wondering if anyone has run into this.
I was setting the stylus of a LOMC on a record and just grazed the edge of the record instead of the lead-in groove. There was no visible damage to the stylus, but the right channel went out. (Left played fine) So after checking everything externally, realized that only the right channel of that particular input was out. Moving the cable to another input fixed it.
Any suggestions as how to trace the source of the problem is appreciated. (The only thing I have to test with is a DMM.)
