what determine the cost of an opamp?

Sorry for you 🙁
Nah, just one has to choose his own poison, tastes are very individual when it goes to aesthetic... like hifi btw.

For me those two Dreamth do not like too much, are for me just good for the colors ! I really love more fresco works of the late trescento and quatroscento... all of that is very subjective !

If you see the famous Vatican building chamber (escape poll room) most of people know in this world of culture dematerialisation (did I say : "cloud - pune" intented-), you will see the different artists for the ceilling, walls, front walls... and "cartouches" as they say ! It vey about smooth colors; my own tastes are more about the side walls than the ceilling from M.A.* (btw what a name when you paint a ceilling, lol).

It's like photographs or aerograph hyper-realism painting both close from the reality : they are not, it is still an aesthetic trade-off and action looking from the viewer : EXACTLY like hifi is with his two minimum media : the listener and the space around him that rule the partition !

ah, of course imho... not easy to talk about taste, food and art... perception, with words !

* : and M.A. is not the grand PA ... what a big mic mac, tsim tsum, and so on ... I need a BIG MAC !

Imagine they had barcos stuffs in the late reniscita to project this on the ceilling
in spite of fresco ! They would still dance in the desert instead playing with TNT, hey !

Art is about civilisation... somewhere, and everywhere !

Members who have built M2x + IPS7 have tried "opamp rolling" with quite a variety of different opamps. Their listening evaluations almost always produced a favorite; one opamp whose sound was preferable to all the others. In other words, the opamps didn't all sound the same. Some people preferred the OPA134 most; others preferred the LT1122; others went for the LME49710; and others preferred Burson discrete opamps in a DIP-8 footprint. They didn't all sound the same.

Logically that would mean that statistically none was better than the other. Or that the listeners were unreliable.

I just studied english before the BAC as my high school study didn't involved english too much but readings (for curious guys - is that the subjonctive of gays ?)

I just bag packed everywhere and always regret not to live in a country like germany, Netherlands, Sweden or Norway where the school system whatever and culture whatever the reason, give to the people a good english ! I think it's a good esperanto media ! But well I had to read books in english not translated in french... what a world ! I wisch I was an efficient 5532 op ! But hopfully for the world I was made in a standalone prototype !

In Germany that is because in Year 5 (ie aged 10) you choose your 1st foreign language and in Year 7 your second. You can not change or drop them until you leave school.
English is by far the most common 1st language except for the area along the Rhine who understanably pick French and a handful of weirdos who pick Latin.
A lot more pick Latin as the 2nd because it avoids having to do an extra Latin course at uni if you study any of the life sciences.

Sometimes designs are built custom for 1 company and after a number of years the chip company is allowed to sell them on the market. This happened with chips for magnetic communication for hearing aids, and now sold as generic chips, also with supertex high voltage drivers, designed for inkjetters. For a latchup analysis I needed to unpack a chip and found a year date on the mask that was years before the chip release. In general, for very high chip volumes, the design cost is relatively quickly amortizised , and the chip cost is driven by silicon area, wafer cost, number of process steps, and test costs. trimming drives up the price quickly.
