Im not very sure of what capacitor to buy, 4.7 Bullet Tweeter TMC Mylar Capacitor 4 7uF x 250V 2X Pack True Voltage | eBay
or 6.8 capacitor?
Note: Is for a custom cab with a damaged tweeter, im buying the Lpad to manage the level mismatch.

There is not enuff information given on the tweeter to be able to choose. As well the extention/XO on whatever driver is mating up to it makes a difference.
You might want to look at MAdisound/PE/MCM etc for a tweeter with more adequate information

3k at 8 ohms if your only using 1 capacitor for a 6db decrease I would go for a 2.2uf if you want that horn to last, that would cross it over around 9k, so -3db would be 4k, -6db at 2k
It would be better to use a 12db circuit which would involve an inductor and capacitor and wire the tweeter out of phase.

Jsixis, you got that all wrong.
If the tweeter were actually 8 ohm (unlikely), 2 uF would give an F3 of 10k (down 6 dB at 5k, 12 dB at 2.5k). 4 uF halves those values.

Hi, thanks for the response. So the 4.7 cap wont work? This is for a 2-way cab, im looking for a cheap 4x10 tweeter horn. I was thinking that putting a 4.5 uf will make the tweeter close to the bass driver, because i dont have a mid freq driver. I think the driver is close to 3khz. I wanted to put the tweeter close to 3khz, but maybe im confused with how it works.
