thanks for the replies!

i am starting from scratch, i will try to use allan kimels' circuit. there will be two line amps. one is the pcf802, the other will be the 8br11/8fq7 combo.

the triodes will be used as input stage, the pentodes as active ccs/cathode followers.

aside from not exceeding plate dissipations for these tubes, what other advise can you give?
