The title is poorly chosen, it is far more than a mere "cookbook". A totally solid reference.
"Measuring" was by d'Appolito, I think. Nonetheless, I'd agree completely, it's invaluable.
I stand corrected. Between Measuring and Cookbook, you have all you need IMO. I have the weems book, and the 2 little ones that radio shack sells, and they are not as good as LSDC and Measuring.
Loudspeaker and Headphone Handbook Borwick Focal Press
Excellent book BTW (must have if you are into speaker design)
Chapters by Fincham Kef chief designer on crossovers
Baxandall of tone control fame on Electrostatics
Kelly of ribbon fame on transducer drive mechanisms
Excellent chapter on Headphones
Jeepers! just seen the price on Amazon of the 3rd edition 150$
Try and get a second hand second edition

AudioXpress sells a collection of JAES reprints on speaker design. It's a must-own.
Is it the same book of " Testing Loudspeakers" by Joe D'Appolito,
ISBN: 1882580176 ?

SY mentioned the AES reprints, they are called Loudspeakers Vols 1,2 and 3 They are an anthology of articles from the AES (audio engineering society) avaliable from the society
Vols 1&2 were edited by Raymond Cooke the founder of KEF
Classic quote "Loudspeaker designers are busy people"
Also a must have for loudspeaker design

Acoustics by Leo Beranek. This book lays the math and engineering foundation that allows all of the other books (and JAES papers) to be read and understood in detail.
Another option, which is almost as good, is Leach's Introduction to Electroacoustics and Audio Amplifier Design.
These two books are a step deeper then the LSDC by Dickason or the Testing book by D'Appolito which are both excellent.
