Ever tried raw milk with a dash of Ehec?!😉Im having some Chocolate Milk 🙂 (Organic Whole)
Ah, the noble rot! Love some of that any time of year. A friend introduced me to it on New Year’s Eve 2000, with 2 half-bottles of ‘95 Chateau D’Yquem. The dinner started with a magnum of Antinori Solaia and finished with 25 year Glenmorangie. I honestly don’t know which of these three had more impact on me. I proposed to my wife that night! In summer a glass of Sauternes goes down nicely, specially since the better half likes it a lot 🙂
In the meantime, nearly every red wine, Sauternes, and Scotch has been compared to that night. For sure I have had better red wine, including a very nice treat to Chateau Margaux and of course, Opus One. Sauternes? I’ve had good ones, but not quite like the D’Yquem. Scotch? I’m very, very picky. There’s more that I dislike than like. Been chasing the smoothness of that Glenmorangie, but typically not willing to shell out the bucks and then be smacked in the face with a smoked peat sandwich. Found some solace in MacAllan 15.
A good Rioja and scotch… from our Chalet, -22C outside, good wood fire burning in the fireplace…
Before that a gin tonic, nice fondue for two. So warm in here the cat is all along on the bed upstairs…
Playing on our vintage Yamaha receiver and Sony player Billie Holiday, before that Dixie Chicks for the Lady.
Now I have to do the dishes 😉

A glass from my last bottle of bourbon while listening to Eric Clapton's 'Pilgrim'. When the bourbon is gone I'll switch to a Canadian rye, because I'm Canadian. If you're Canadian, you'll know why. 😁
^^ I savored a glass of Canadian rye tonight in support of my Canadian friends.

Nice. I got a bottle of that scotch too.
Rioja... have your tried a Ribera del Duero?
@prairieboy I have lately started to make my manhattans with rye, not bourbon. I like the drier palate, bourbon is turning out to be too sweet as I get older.
While watching 1 1/2 British police serials I sipped a glass of Icelandic Floki Single Malt.A glass from my last bottle of bourbon while listening to Eric Clapton's 'Pilgrim'. When the bourbon is gone I'll switch to a Canadian rye, because I'm Canadian. If you're Canadian, you'll know why. 😁
(What am I to do with all my MAGA-landf bourbon???)
