For the first time I tried to add a few drops of water to the whiskey and boy, did it make a difference!![]()
It took me years to try this, but it really does make a difference doesn't it?
I'm at the other end of the scale today though....Henry Weston's vintage cider 8.2%
We are talking of drops, not diluting the noble drink. Someone said that the drops caused a chemical reaction that sort of took away somewhat of the bite from alcoholes and letting the essence of the whiskey play the major role.
i justhad a chicken’n’baconsandwich with a Markestad Export beer. This was the only kind sold on the train I am riding and it was bitter/sour and far from the various Belgian beer we had at the bar next to our hotel.

Brandy while waiting on dinner and doing my PT for my shoulder, plus stationary cycling and watching the news on TV.
Dinner will be ground meat and peas with catsup's and garlic bread.😱

Bourbon here. "Friday afternoon, long weekend" and my wife is out of town after 2 weeks of house guests. I miss everybody but the quiet sure is nice.
@Cal -- I have some rum I bought in Hawaii last year - a white rum and a bottle each of a coffee rum and a spice rum. Any suggestions on what to make with it? I usually just drink straight or on ice, although a real daiquiri can be a treat.

Blend it up with a mixture of fruit and some Ice.
Those pictures look great. Love Basil Hayden, don't think I've had the rum. It's 18 yr? I have some prickly pears whose juice I might incorporate into a Margarita or Daiquiri tomorrow - neither idea is original.
Cheers!

...And this capitalization of the word "Milk." What is the pathology of that, I wonder??
(On second thought - never mind.) 😱

Made me another Whiskey Sour yesterday, using another IPA - Electric Nurse.
The IPA have to be a bit sour, fruity and preferable with a slight tone of lemon or orange.

I've been having Ice Cold Dr Pepper once every day for lunch for the last few days. I forgot how much I missed this stuff.
I bought a 24 can pack online for $50 AUD.

Pleasant surprise- Fuggles and Warlock Gin & Lime Pilsner. Refreshing on an early Victoria heat wave (29C this afternoon) and not as over-sweet kool-aidy as your average vodkas cooler
