I found the same with their French Roast - Canada's Tim Hortons came out with their own special Dark Roast a while back, and it's surprisingly tolerable and consistent for a beverage that must be sold by the tanker full every day.
Chai Tea with milk and honey (would love to try with Donkey's milk, but that'd be very expensive cup of tea)
Hoynes Dark Matter: a nice compliment to Steamship Pub's Roasted Fraser Valley Chicken. The latter not in the same class as Susan's grilled organic boneless thighs with lemon /herbs marinade & grilled peppers and root veggies - but now I know to try the white fish tacos next time if available

Lost Barrel Rhetoric 22 yrs Bourbon. Pretty tasty, has a pretty strong punch for the age.

Lovely. Will have to keep an eye open for that. Sometimes I think long age (>12 or so) doesn't do Bourbon a lot of good so very curious about the Lost Barrel. Probably doesn't even come into NM - too small of a market.
I'm drinking a pretty straight-forward Rye old-fashioned with homemade bitters right now.
Cheers all

Thrifty Foods house brand (Compliments) Jamaican Ginger beer on the rocks- and in another hour or so will add a "light dash" of Goslings Black Seal Bermuda Rum - well maybe light on the first serving
Taking tomorrow off work for on long weekend, so both those bottles might be a bit depleted

got some chocolate mousse frozen yogurt at Christina's and took it home to some Powers Irish Whiskey
because the liquor store dosen't have the Ron Zacapa 23 yr Rum I really wanted until later this week
total walking distance < 300 yards

in "Our Fair City"...
in other news - I didn't break my neck climbing the ladder to the hatch on my roof to see the upper half of the Charles River fireworks and few of the Harbor too
and my mom can't understand why I never wanted to move back to her Kansas City (and adjacent) suburb(s) like all but 3 members of my and the next 2(!) generations of our extended family...

Took the short tour / tasting at Victoria Distillers this past Sunday - their Empress 1908 Gin turns out to be a very pleasant sipper.
