Well, the nasty cold turned out to be the flu; wound up spending 5 days in the hotel room, too sick to travel any further. After a visit to the local clinic and a round of antibiotics, my temp finally returned to normal, so I got the hell out of there and finished the remaining 8-hour drive home.
Craving coffee again for the first time in a week, I didn't have any of my own in the fridge, so I just stopped at Micky D's. Their coffee isn't terrible in my opinion; but have you ever tried to order an iced coffee, black, with no flavoring - just coffee and ice? It's like you're speaking a foreign language. I guess there's no button for that on the machine.
Man, I have never been so happy to be home.

I had swine flu during the epidemic a few years ago. It was no big deal, unlike all the media hype. Anyway after that I started taking lots of Vitamin D (4000 units daily on the winter, 1000 in the summer), and I almost never get flu or even colds.
