Bulleit Bourbon.

I'm a sour-mash man myself (raised 45min south of Lynchburg), but I find this Bourbon extremely drinkable.

Summer ales are usually too girly for me, I like the bitter IPA's, they used to be shipped on the seas to india, after all. Arrrrr... I think tomorrow I might buy some Stone Ruination!

This is a farmhouse style though, a lot of yeast flavor to enjoy, a wonderful, though low ABV, (4.6%) beer

There's a definite time for those beers. Stone Levitation is a nice lighter beer.

I rarely find myself in the mood for Bourbon, but I have tried Bulleit and was quite impressed. My test for Bourbon is simple. Pour 1 shot over ice, add ~4OZ of water....the only way to enjoy good Bourbon.😉

From New Zealand, and pretty darn good. Im into white whine, and keep my eye open for Sauvignon Blanc's. This one is knida mild, meaning not sharp, which is find by me.

Vodka - any good vodka will do

white wine - "gazela" or "casal garcia" portuguese wine , i can drink 2 bottles easily with dinner

after meal wine - Moscatel wine from Setubal like " Jose maria da Fonseca"(brand)

Just had a couple mugs of the local brew, "Red Hill Red" by Tustin Brewing Co. - their most consistent, and very enjoyable, brew.

Jim Beam. Found I was bored with budget priced Scotch and this is real nice! I will stick to bourbon henceforth.

PS: Is there anything in a similar price range thats better? Would love to try it!

A bit more expensive is "Evan Williams Single Barrel", which is entirely decent and not terribly pricey. Elijah Craig is also reasonably priced and very solid. Either will be a little more expensive, like $20-$22 a bottle, but are tremendously better than Jim Beam.

My favourite bourbon is George Dickel, but you can't get it around here.

I remember one I was at a conference in Livingston, Montana. I joined a friend at the motel bar at the end of the day, and he asked the woman behind the bar for a "dickel". To my surprise she poured him a drink. I had to know what he was drinking, so tried one myself, and I was sold!
