Yeah great idea to kill them by doing stupid things which they were not designed for. If you also move the Aleph 3 to those encasings you have effectively ended up with just 1 set of amplifiers. Great ideas 🙂

From the outputs specs I would guess ~50W/8ohm max.
You could at least measure what the rail voltages are (+/- VDC) and the ripple (VAC).
Some of us will have a wattage figure pop in our heads if you give the rail voltages.
Maybe we could suggest the OP to measure power rails.
Without wanting to get ahead of myself, I think it would be a good idea to measure the DC voltages
Connect test leads/clips regardless of color. Normally red is + and black is - but this case if different as one of the caps has + to GND. DMM set to Voltage DC. Just 1 cap is enough but measuring both is better. The + or - does not matter, just the value like 46V.
ALWAYS connect leads when the device has been powered off for a few minutes and always pull the mains plug. Work with one hand behind your back. Don't have the crocodile clips shorting and don't have them slipping off.

Asking for measurements here, any measurements at all, is like pulling teeth.

Does the fact that these run on for minutes after I’ve disconnected the power give any reason for concern?
That is what the way oversized capacitors do. No worry.
Just make sure your meter leads are connected to the volt-ohm connection of your meter rather than the current measuring connection.

Make sure not to short capacitor connectors or poke with bare hands even when power is off.
