What are these sheets?

Hi All,

I've been reading the forums for some time now and have started my projector.

This evening I've been disassembling my LCD screen. All has gone well and it looks like it could be ok to use. The LCD is a 5.6" Sharp LQ6AN101 ( I realise it's a pretty low resolution LCD).

An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

My question is regarding these sheets. I believe they are there to diffuse the light from the original backlight. If I want to use the LCD in a projector should the sheets be removed?

I've done a search but not found anything.

Many thanks,

Graham.

i have that same screen i think have you manged to get either RGB or composite working

could you possible tell me what colour wires do what

i think its this but im not sure

B1 = green/video ground
B2 = yellow/video composite
B3 = orange/ red R
B4 = pink/ green G
B5 = brown / blue B

then theres those 3 other audio wires

A1 = grey
A2 = purple
A3 = pink

BTW considering this is a psone screen ive been stupid not to look at the psx a/v pinout up until now would of made things alot easier.

althought now after looking at that im not sure if i got it right becasue this screen can display both ntsc and pal there a lil switch on the side maybe it uses s video that Y and C, or it might only use RGB in that case B1 and B2 might be +5v and C sync Rolling Eyes ill appreciate any help

theres alot of noise on the screen even when nothing is connected is this because of an unclean power supply

thanks
