Producing music. Let's warm this up...right now its a little wiry, like most newly built items. I'm sure it will improve...bass a little weak right now, and this is with a set of Econo waves, 5 cu ft with JBL 2235H tuned to 34 hz. Cook, Cook Cook. Turned down the the wave guide portion, tube pre and amp never seemed lacking but this is tilted up...that's better...hopefully bass will come out more, F-5 beats it as is hands down in that category on these speakers at this point. These speaks usually shake the house.
I'll give it a burn in time for sure, initial listening is a little underwhelming, especially on the bass side. switched away from source no noise at all...even on these efficient speaks...dead quiet.

All Righty then! First the wiriness worked its way out, allowing me to go back to original setting on waveguide. (QSC 152 W/ B&C 250), Then much, much more bass. Its starting to come into its own quite impressively. Smooth, powerful, transparent and stone quiet...even with ear up to the horn.😎 As an aside, I can palm this thing no sweat. Hottest places on sink are measuring 48-50C. I'm going to let it play but I cant help but want to take the sinks up closer to 55C....Maybe I should fit my temp reader with new batteries.

Became paranoid about slightly more than .500 bias level I was running. All info Im given assures me all is well, if I dont cross 55C at heat sink or 65C on the device. My heat sink had a few places at or near 50C, so in an abundance of caution I (after replacing batteries in IR thermometer) turned bias down to .300.
Heatsink held at around 45C at hottest point. Sounded good, but just not as good. finally settled on .450 and it seems to sound as well as it did at higher bias....yeah this may be imaginary, but I really dont think so. Hottest point I can measure is just under 50C, devices are not hardly any hotter, which I thought odd.
This amp is wonderful. And like F-5, (and every piece of Pass gear I've built) it is dead silent...nothing. Even with ear next to driver.
