I know in transformers planar technology's the magnet type but what about triodes? Are they 'better' than normal triodes and can they be used for class A1 audio amplification?
Planar triodes are very special tubes intended for ultra high frequency usage.
They may work as preamp tubes (maybe) but are not intended for audio usage, and certainly not as poweramps.
