I couldn't easily find the reference to BAF in the other thread, so I tried to be helpful anyway. Is BAF wadding still used, or is there a modern alternative? Just curious.

BAF = British Accoustic Films Ltd.
-- I believe they were taken over by The Rank organisation along with Gaumont Kalee projector makers, in the '60's.
Made sound reproducing equipment for cinema projectors and amplifiers etc....
--Very well made gear, still giving service in many smaller cinemas in UK,--at least the mechanical/optical sound-heads they made, if not some of the amplifiers too....
