Not a fan. Sound weird... breathy. But also everything ends up larger than life, squished between speakers.

I'm not so sure about that. I've heard them in a variety of quite different rooms over the years and they always sound significantly more "real" than anything I've ever heard. Maybe it's because they're much closer to the pulsating sphere ideal than anything else out there. It's worth attending a hifi show just to hear them (or their big brothers) in IMO.
